made a big pot of chow mein that lasted me all week! not bad... key ingredients -
- bbq pork, 0.8 lb (because the store didn't sell fish cake!)
- bok choi
- onion
- green onion
- bean sprouts
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 pkg noodles
- soy sauce
i forgot carrots! anyway, i made note of these ingredients from when i ordered chow mein at a restaurant last week for lunch.

I MADE MOCHI!!! yummy!!!! i haven't cooked/baked something substantial in such a long time. and this was just rice flour, water and sugar in a microwave! but it was soo goooood.

this was a weekend of cookies and sweets! i bought a box of hand-picked cookies from the bakery at bristol farms on our way down to mexico. my friend had also bought me a tray of shamrock cookies! then when we were there, he bought me mexican pastries (including a bread in the shape of a turtle)! sweeeeeeeets!

Today I had Spumoni (hey i really like that word...) and black cherry vanilla, one of my favorites!! Vanilla and cherry ice cream swirled with real black cherries inside. MMMMM. someone had left soft chips ahoy cookies on the table, too :)

well... you know it! dinner was FAB. penne pasta in alfredo sauce with salmon, peas, onions, and mushrooms. a side of garlic bread and salad with balsamic dressing. and no, i didn't go out to a restaurant. all home cooking here!

You went OUT to eat at 10:30pm??? How crazy is that!! Gone are your $20/week food spending budget days. i still find that unbelievable. I eat way too much Italian. I either eat pizza or pasta, I'd say more than half the time.
last night, i had dinner waaaaay late (10:30pm!). but it was still good! a steak pizza at barney's beanery which is not unlike the philly cheesesteak pizza at domino's! you'd think with a name like that it would be pretty disgusting but it is yummmmmy. i like weird food.

i think i talk about food way too much...BUT i had a great sandwich for lunch today! a cobb salad sandwich at hamburger hamlet on sunset. and the best part was it came on this cheese toast much like the deelish SIZZLER cheese toast! yummmmmmmy! PLUS i had a star sighting... one David Sutcliffe was sitting two tables away from me...good times!
