i had a fun weekend because the weather was gorgeous!! i biked around alameda and played tennis in berkeley. the bay is beeyooteeful.
i'm sending my resume right now to ROXY for an events coordinator position. how cool would that be! maybe i could finally learn to surf!

i was beginning to get worried... surprise packages are fun! but is it possible to send overseas when you leave?
last night i had one of the most fun nights i've had in a while! i went to sushi with a friend of mine who is moving back home to georgia soon. we ate on sawtelle (home of the "Are You Coming Now?" haircut) and then ended up going across the street to this place called karaoke bleu to sing! it was my first time singing in front of random people at a real karaoke bar (we went up together though, thank goodness). well, it turns out the people weren't so random! i saw two familiar looking guys from cal days (one was the asuc evp when i was a senior) and i went up to them and had a mini reunion. they were like "you look the same!" and THEY looked the same! guess some things never change...
guess what i got today - a box with homemade cookies and trail mix!! thank you!!

it's not simply a matter of public speaking.
1) i am speaking about my personal life
2) i am speaking to a group of people i know and whose opinions i value (not a random audience of strangers.
i had to do a bit of public speaking at work a couple months ago and surprisingly, people said i did a good job. i basically just read off a paper though, while they all listened (it was giving out an award). so i didn't say anything personal about me, and i didn't really care about the people who were listening.
THIS IS DIFFERENT! I AM GOING TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK.
public speaking? no problem! i used to do it in superb! it's scary at first but after you do it, you want to do it again! just practice and write things down so you have backup and a direction!
guess what i'm listening to on the radio now? "Like a child...you whisper softly to me... You're in control, just like a child...."
i'm not sure if i would have time to interview. if i had time, then sure i could do it. sounds fun.
i'm scheduled!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sharing about China during announcements time the second week of february at church. aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. my biggest fears are realized.
awww.... i want to do a Cal trip! but what is greg's pizza? as long as WEST COAST is still there i am okay. and kingpin. and bayKING. and la mediteranee. and sufficient. oh the memories. food memories. :)
by the way, would you be interested in helping alumni association interview kids for scholarships? i'm going to do it i think (in la) but they also have sessions up in berkeley... it is fun (i did it once before)!

Yes, I am very fortunate to be able to stroll on Sproul plaza today. I do miss campus, oh so much. I love Cal. I miss it. Ah, the memories. but now everyone is gone! it's all new young people. Still, the memories...

I walked to Sweetheart's to redeem my boba milk tea (after 10 stamps) and looked at CDs at Rasputin's. I even read a Daily Cal. It said all these places on Telegraph are closing. Did you know that Greg's pizza is gone now. It's gonna be a Chipotle. Express is closing. Athlete's Foot is gone. All these chains are taking over...
I miss Cal.

Today, I'm kind of having a "lost" day. Like I am just trying to figure out where I belong in the grand scheme of things, what job is right for me, etc. I think I might be trying too hard and should just go with the flow. It's probably just the stress of not working...YARGH.

my coworker took me to lunch (i was supposed to pay this time!) at a chinese place. we got seafood chow mein and siu mai and STILL have leftovers! he doesn't eat much. i told him my "story" (which i need to perfect... somehow) and he wants a support letter! I think he's Catholic. but he offered to send me whatever i need over there... so nice :)

i have a massive headache. no, not a massive - case of the chills. anyway, it's from too much entering today!! too but entry. no fun. i wanted a cookie and went to jamba juice since i have a jamba card and got a honey bran bar... not bad. i am ready to go home. 45 more minutes to kill. still thinking about whether i want to go to 99 ranch tonight or be a bum and stay home. i want to sleeep. sleep is good. my sleeping schedule is wacked bc i take naps and can't sleep at night, then am tired all day the next day. ugh.

Just came back from the beach where I saw Ah-nuld. Thought it was him, by a bike rental stand but there weren't a lot of people around him so I thought perhaps not... Then, later on, I saw him biking towards me with some little kids around him and then three older men behind him (perhaps undercover bodyguards?) and I was pretty sure it was him. Ah-nuld.

WELL. Vidal went crazy. My hair is now SHORT and RED. YIKES. I will try to take pictures with the musician this weekend. We hung out last night and watched NATIONAL LAMPOON (I think Family Vacation?). The one where they went to Wally World. There's so much I don't remember about that movie - so many scenes that I don't remember! Chevy Chase.
Meanwhile, I'm interviewing for the anime job on Tuesday. How do I even try to get more money? It might be a good job! I don't know!

vidal girl. ice skating tonight!! 2 for 1 night, aw yeah baby. i have been surfing the web for travel to China tips. things will be soo different, how will i survive... mostly the language and culture and lack of american things scares me. but, it will be good. plans this weekend? no more calperfs for me, but it's good bc i need time to do this support raising... but i don't know if i am done with my letter or i still need to revise?! it is neverending.

i just got home from the koo concert. koo is awesome. i am sad that we will not see him again before we leave... and the most exciting news of all, my cool friend grace will be going to China with ESI too!!!
