people are crazy
well, i FINALLY had my first taste of true wedding drama. and the drama is actually more friend (i.e., former friend) drama than wedding drama. my now ex-h.s. friend heather, the bridesmaid who "dropped out," kept on asking to throw me a shower and finally i gave in and let her do it. she sent out the invites this week and then yesterday flipped out for no reason and decided she didn't want to do the shower anymore. cancelled the reservation at the venue and sent me a nasty email that came out of nowhere!
luckily, the other bridesmaids are ready to spring to action and salvage things - sort of annoying but glad i won't have to deal with an annoying person anymore who i think, in the end, was trying to throw the shower for herself rather than for me! i called her to try to get to the bottom of things and be a "rational" adult but, she is not returning my call. no more mr. nice guy here! she can be rude all she wants and change plans all she wants on a whim but she won't have a friend like me. she's always been a bit of drama - and now she's going to lose one of the few people who will still even talk to her. IM me when you have time and we'll catch up. i was really upset yesterday because she was so irrational then today i was annoyed and now i actually am relieved. oy!
