a big fat cookie
today i took my car to the shop. normally they give us bagels, so i didn't eat breakfast. today there were none! so when i got to work, i was hungry, and at 9:30 i ate my coworker's indian food. then i took my break at 1:30pm and wanted to go to chinatown for pastries or some sort of dessert. i decided to save $1 and got a coconut fruit bar (popsicle) instead. it was freezing cold outside and really windy, and the bar made me colder!! i walked to a couple of sandwich places and got a GIANT white chocolate chip cookie from one. and i ate the whole thing!! my tummy hurts. but i am happy. i am going to bake my own batch of white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies!!

HOPPY EASTER
i tried to put that on the easter basket i sent to you know who the other day but no luck! they just wrote the to and from part.
anyway, happy easter! glad the cookies were good and they got to you AND you didn't get in trouble! last night i went over to HIS place and we had steaks with some friends then played board games until 1 in the morning! i am TIRED. i made lemon bars though...yummmm
this morning i got up and re-dyed my hair. i hope it looks okay. and if not - oh well. i'm not an actress!

as far as telling your boss - i thought they already knew? well...really giving 2 weeks notice is just a courtesy - not a requirement. i think a month should be ample time but i always get nervous that if you give more notice they will make it miserable. i mean, legally, they can't force you to quit earlier than your end date but sometimes it is uncomfortable. if you feel you have a good rapport with your boss and that there will be no repercussions i don't see why you shouldn't just say it?

Wow, see what happens when you lift things to God in prayer and trust Him with it? His plan is always greater than ours! :) I'm glad you like your job. Maybe it's a keeper! woo hoo!
I think I need to stop playing. There are many opportunities to play, but that makes me tired and less able to focus on other things, like quieting down and trying to prepare spiritually for the trip.

labradoodle
i saw a picture in a magazine today of a LABRADOODLE. can you believe that! so funny! anyway, that's weird the dog story. i wonder what it means. do you secretly want a dog? my friends have a MALTIPOO. oh my.
anyway, it was pouring buckets today!! so SCARY. i hope the weekend is good. i just downloaded a song "such great heights" - i know old but a free download! :)
meanwhile, tonight my boss asked me if i might want to go to vancouver with her in a couple of weeks to coordinate a set visit. how cool would that be! i think this job could be it... i just have to be patient so that it will become PERMANENT.
book of dreams
last night i dreamt that 30 gave me a pair of puppies. she gave central a pair of puppies, too. it was so strange. i'm not sure why. I think she was supposed to give us something else, but didn't, so instead she gave us those puppies. even though i was leaving for China!
that's so funny! 4 non blondes and britney, woo hoo! yep, i need a week to recuperate from my weekend too :) good times.
last week we got dumplings on thursday and last night we had dinner together, 11 of us bc one person was back from oregon. good times... even on weekdays too! this thursday i'm playing bass for our young adult fellowship. spring break from SNAP and badminton though.
i think you get friday off for caesar chavez day. that's what we were talking about last night, that some pple get that holiday.
my friend b is in oregon this week M-F (on sr. class trip) so i will have peace and quiet... overall pretty good :)

sleepyyyyy
such a LONG week. and a LONG weekend.
fox is still good. was at work until midnight on friday with one of the guys behind the movie ROBOTS. (he also does the show ROLIE POLIE OLIE.) fun times! sat. night went to dinner with b. (the boy) and his friends and mccormick & schmick's in bh. even had dessert (apple pie a la mode and creme brulee)! speaking of apple pie a la mode, went to a party for "the west wing" on sat. night with my friend who works on the show. got her hooked up with her crush and we almost ended up at coldstone for APPLE PIE A LA MODE. except it was closed when we got there. TOO BAD. last night. went out with some BEARS! sushi and karaokeing. such good times! i sang many a duet (including 4 non blondes "so i crIIIIEED- oh my god how i crIIIIEED") and songs alone ("oops i did it again" - complete with the dialogue!!!). fun times.
now i'm tired. and we still have a week! but - i think we get friday off for good friday!

i am so tired. entertaining thoughts of using my free bonus day some time soon to play hookey. there are still so many people to call and talk to. someone else emailed me last night (melitha) and asked why i never called her. she just got the letter and no story.
this week - volunteering, tennis, dumpling dinner with friends, interviewing new roommate, cooking steak for small group, busy-ness like crazy. and this weekend - catching up with another friend, tennis, other friend's bday dinner (pushed back 2 weeks already!) oh and visiting the church plant in milpitas. i am going to surprise then so they won't know and can't ask me to speak :P

fox continues to go well. it has been a long week - i am there almost until 8p every night and i am just a temp! today i was in the fox animation bldg. and we saw artwork from "iceage 2"! i saw the first one and i didn't think it was that great but seeing the actual artwork - it looked really cool! this weekend i might work at a junket for our movie "fever pitch" - jimmy fallon and drew barrymore will be there.

It was a gray day in berkeley this saturday too. but sunday was nice again!!
Updates for me. I talked to the guy for like 3 hours? 11-2am. Saturday night. I guess it's good to talk about stuff. It's over... though it never started. yes, I thought there would be different results, but it turns out he is going through a grip of stuff. he needs to figure out what is going on with this girl he used to like (like maybe he likes her again, what a mess. and she's my friend) and on top of that, He needs to spend more time with God bc his life and priorities are spinning out of control. we'll still be friends. we'll see how that goes. no more too-much-emailing I think. well, at least i didn't have to make a decision or anything. all of his stuff going wrong pretty much ended it regardless of whatever i thought or whatever is going on with me (not that he didn't ask).

well, the first day went well! the woman i am working for is really nice and pretty low maintenance. i'm going to work with her next week and we'll both decide then if it's a good fit. funny thing, how working for someone with the same title as before (svp, national publicity) can be SO different. there's actually responsibility and a lot of potential with this position. and the department seems pretty drama-FREE. yay!
i just spent the morning baking cookies (recipe to come shortly on the web page - i think!) and updating my website. i think next i want to put on a sitemeter (how sad - it will probably be in the single digits) and then a guest book.
other than that, it's another gray day in LA. i hope you enjoyed the pics of the musician. he's a lot of fun! if they do a show in SF, we should go! (not sure if it will happen before you leave! :( )

alright. so here's what i have to say. one of my former co-workers at Paramount gave me this enlightening information not too long ago when he and I talked about what I wanted to do for a job. (And keep in mind that he is wayyyy older than us!) I said I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do for a job and he said "It's okay to not know." So, jobs, boys, anything. It is okay to not know. BUT if you don't know, definitely examine the situation carefully. Especially since you are also friends. It will be fine!

i should do that last updated...except i have no new updates as of yet... went to the tonight show tonight - watching it now! i saw the back of me! :) anyway, it was SO COLD in there but fun to see my musician perform! i hung out with him on monday night when he first came into town and we had baja fresh. sadly, we got a coldstone and put it in the freezer in his hotel room and...well...it melted! the freezer wasn't cold enough! what a waste!!
tomorrow i have my temp interview at 10:30am...i am thinking good thoughts! and still waiting to hear back from my zack morris beach club job. restocking towels!! (KIDDING.)

weekend plans? for me, it's running saturday morning, then our young adult/college fellowship "transitioning to young adulthood" seminar, then the basketball game (where i get to play with a fancy camera by all the real camera people!), then ice skating in foster city later at night.

last night, i went out with the valentine's date. we went to dinner at an italian restaurant but it was SO QUIET. and i'm apparently SO LOUD (or so he says). anyway, afterwards we went to his friends' place. they just bought a new dog (over the internet!). it is a maltese poodle mix. so cute and SO SMALL.

anyway, i will have to look for the tapes at home but i think they best be left as a tape. some things are better that way right? unless you have an easy way of converting it to an mp3? i am not so advanced.

well the story of the day. i faxed my resume to a temp agency that works with Fox (they are nearby). well, 15 minutes later they called. so now i am interviewing with them on tuesday! not bad! perhaps this is the beginning of something good! (at least i hope it is!)

i hope you feel better about your situation now. it's so tough with boys and friends and more-than-friends. i always thought everything should be clear cut but i now realize it doesn't have to be. and it's almost better not when it's not. because then it's so much more exciting! nerve-wracking and scary, but exciting. good luck. be strong. remember how you feel and realize that you should put yourself first - otherwise you aren't being true to yourself. and if he is a true friend he will understand. he may still be hurt but he'll understand.
